Description

The font bowl and stem, located 2 metres north of the Church of All Saints, is likely from the 13th century, while the stem dates to the 17th century. Made of sandstone, the bowl is cup-shaped and circular, featuring a drain hole near its base. The stem stands 1 metre tall and has a square plan, with a chamfered base on a flat plinth. It includes a wider, cyma-moulded section that has a roll-moulded top where it meets the bowl. This structure is included for its group value.
