Description
Bearpark Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a farm building. It dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The structure is built of coursed rubble stone, featuring brick and timber dressings, and has a roof clad in corrugated asbestos. The building has quoins and is a single storey.
On the south-west front, there are two doorways. The left doorway has a timber lintel, restored brick jambs, and a plank door. To the left of this doorway are two timber windows, while to the right are various bricked-up windows and doors. The right door features a stable door within a timber surround, with a small blocked window beyond it.
The north-east front includes a single cross passage doorway with a timber lintel and a plank door. To the right of this doorway is a blocked window with a timber frame and mullion, and another blocked window beyond that.
Inside, the farmhouse retains its original plan with a cross passage, timber cross beams, and an original fireplace with a timber lintel, which has been divided with cupboards to the right.
