Description

Aldin Grange Bridge is a bridge that possibly dates back to the 15th century and is built on an earlier site. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings. The bridge features a wide, chamfered, three-centred arch that rests on inner imposts. The parapets, which curve out at the ends of the bridge, have chamfered block coping. There are corbel supports for the wider sweep of the south-west parapet. The bridge no longer carries the main road, as this has been diverted to a modern bridge.
