Description

North Farm is a farmhouse, now a private house, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of roughly-coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, quoins, and brick dressings. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and features stone gable copings, while an extension has a pantile roof. There are 19th-century brick chimneys. The building has two storeys with three bays and a one-storey, two-bay extension. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight, all set beneath a flat stone lintel. The windows are renewed 12-pane sashes located above and in the outer bays, featuring brick jambs and flat-arched lintels. The steeply-pitched roof has cyma-moulded kneelers that support the end copings, and the chimneys are banded at the ends. The set-back extension has a blocked central door and a fixed 12-pane light to the left.
