Description
Low Fawnlees Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble with ashlar dressings and large quoins, topped with a stone-flagged roof featuring a brick chimney. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance consists of a partly-glazed six-panel door set in a plain stone surround, topped by a blank panel resembling a pediment. The ground floor has late 19th-century sash windows with 16 panes, while the first floor features similar sash windows, all in plain stone surrounds. There are chimneys at both ends of the house. The rear elevation includes a round-headed stair window with glazing bars located in the third bay. A 20th-century addition on the left side is not of interest.
