Description
No. 10 West End is a house that was originally three cottages, dating from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of painted and rendered rubble, topped with a concrete-tiled roof and features brick chimneys. It stands two storeys high and has four windows.
The entrance, located in the second bay, includes an early 18th-century two-panel door that has a later linked overlight and side lights. This doorway is flanked by replaced tripartite windows. There is a segmental coach arch in the right bay, which has a pair of 20th-century boarded doors. On the first floor, the windows have been replaced with three 12-pane sashes and a tripartite window in the third bay. The steeply-pitched roof has raised verges, and the left end and central ridge chimneys are made of old brick, while the right ridge chimney has been rebuilt.
