Description
The Curatage and the house adjoining on the west are two houses that date from the late 18th century. They are built from coursed squared sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, featuring some quoins, and have a stone-flagged roof. The buildings are two storeys high and have four windows. In the third bay, there is a six-panelled door with a patterned fanlight, set within a doorcase that has a pediment and pilasters with an entablature. The windows are mostly sash windows, with twelve panes, although one window has twenty-four panes and another is horizontal. All windows have tooled projecting stone lintels and sills. The hipped roof includes one ridge chimney, a chimney at the right end, and a new stack at the left rear. There is a 20th-century extension to the left of the Curatage, which is not of interest.
