Description
This is a pigeon cote located 40 metres northeast of Pesspool Hall, likely dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed from random sandstone and limestone rubble, featuring roughly dressed quoins. There are remnants of a later dentilled brick cornice, but the roof is missing. The interior is lined with brick and includes stone alighting ledges, with a square plan. There are no architectural details on the facades. It is reported that the interior once contained 365 pigeon holes. At the time of the survey, the building was in a derelict condition.
