Description
Two gate piers are located approximately 6 metres north-east of the South Lodge to Witton Castle. These piers, likely built in the early 19th century, are made of sandstone ashlar. They are tall and square, featuring shaped panels and overhanging battlemented coping. The piers mark the entrance to a track that runs around the eastern perimeter of the estate.
