Description

This is a detached pair of gates located 45 metres south-west of Biddick Hall, dating from the early 18th century. They are made of wrought iron and feature double rails at the bottom, middle, and top, which are infilled with small scrolls. The panels between the rails and the crests display delicate bifurcated scrolls with foliage motifs. The taller meeting bar is topped with an urn finial that has gadrooning. There are narrow flanking panels that also feature similar scroll and foliage motifs.
