Description
The Watson tomb, located approximately 18 metres south of the Church of St Michael, dates from around 1685. It features a headstone made of sandstone ashlar, standing 0.4 metres high. The top of the headstone is steeply scrolled and has a recessed panel that contains a partly-eroded inscription. A similar panel on the rear displays relief symbols, including two skulls, a central inverted heart, two circles, and crossed bones. The panels are framed by bolection moulding.
