Description
The former lead mine reservoir, located about 100 metres east of Dean Howl Farm, dates from the late 18th century. It features a coursed squared sandstone wall that stands approximately 1.5 metres high and extends 6 metres in length, effectively damming the stream in Dene Howl. At the time of the survey, the site was overgrown. This reservoir is a rare remnant of an industry that was once crucial to the local economy.
