Description

Barrington Lodge is a house dating from the early 19th century, with later 20th-century additions and alterations. It was originally a service wing to the Rectory. The walls are pebble-dashed, and the roof is tiled with stone chimneys. The house is two storeys high and has four windows on the front. The right-hand bay projects and contains a door with six flush panels and a renewed radial fanlight above. Both the front and rear of the house feature a mix of window styles, including some original 12- and 16-pane sash windows. The low-pitched roof has coped gables, shaped kneelers, and end chimneys. A 20th-century lean-to addition to the left return is not considered to be of particular interest. The building is included on the list for its group value.
