Description
The piers and walls located to the north-east of the hunting stables, which are attached to the walled garden, date from the late 18th century and feature early 19th-century railings. The structure includes ashlar piers and coursed squared sandstone walls, complemented by wrought-iron railings. At the entrance to the stable ranges, there are two square piers that have plinths, cornices, and block copings. Low, round-coped walls extend from straight sections that flank the piers, along with a long serpentine stretch that encloses the stable yard to the south of the piers and connects to the cart horse stables to the north. Plain iron posts on these walls support plain iron railings.
