Description

No. 20 New Elvet is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It features painted render with an ashlar plinth, painted ashlar dressings, and chamfered quoins. The roof is made of graduated Lakeland slate and has rendered chimneys. The building stands three storeys high and has five bays. The central door, which has been renewed, is set within an architrave and is topped by a bracketed dentilled pediment. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are adorned with architraves and projecting stone sills. A dentilled wooden gutter cornice completes the exterior.
