Description
The Statue of Mercury, located 100 metres north-west of Biddick Hall, is a likely 19th-century lead statue set on a later stone pedestal. The pedestal features a cyma-moulded plinth, a sunk panel on each face, and a corniced top. The statue depicts Mercury wearing a winged helmet and sandals, standing in a pose similar to the Eros statue in Piccadilly, London.
