Description
This farmhouse, likely from the 17th century, is located on the north bank of Stotfield Burn and features an attached outbuilding. The house is constructed from thinly-rendered sandstone rubble, with sandstone rubble outbuildings, some quoins, and ashlar dressings. The roofs are made of Welsh slate, corrugated iron, and stone flags.
The farmhouse is two stories high and has two bays, while the outbuildings, which are attached to the left, are also two stories and have three bays. The house features a boarded door in a plain stone surround on the left side, with late 19th-century sash windows in the center; the upper window is narrower and both have thin stone lintels and sills. There is a low, square chimney with a round coping at the right end.
The outbuildings have boarded doors and renewed windows in the first bay, as well as on the right side of a front pent addition that includes a door and a sash window. The outbuildings are included for their group value.
