Description
The Mill Race Reservoir retaining wall and sluice, located south of Leap Mill Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and stands approximately 2 metres high. The retaining wall extends about 5 metres on either side of the sluice, featuring a stone slab that rests on the side projections. The mill race walls continue from the sluice towards the aqueduct that is attached to Leap Mill Farm.
