Description
The monument of James Rennie is located in the churchyard of the Church of the Holy Trinity. It is constructed from polished red granite. The memorial features a base of three square steps that leads up to a battered plinth. The main shaft of the monument tapers and includes a moulded base, a main section with raised panels that have incised lettering, a frieze adorned with three balls, a cyma recta cornice, and a cap in the shape of a lotus leaf. The finial, which is currently missing, has been placed in a nearby bush.
