Description

The Old Vicarage is a late Georgian style house featuring a neo-classical door surround. The building is entirely roughcast and topped with a Welsh slate roof. It is a double fronted, single depth house that stands three storeys tall, with a two storey extension on the right. The main block has three windows, all of which are sash windows with glazing bars: the ground floor has 6 over 6 panes, the first floor has 3 over 6 panes, and the attic windows have 3 over 3 panes. The central bay projects slightly and includes a six panelled door set in a round-headed recess, complete with impost blocks. Above the door is a semi-circular fanlight with vertical bars and fanned plasterwork in the tympanum. The house has a gabled roof with red brick end stacks. The two storey extension on the right features 6 over 6 pane sashes on the lower level and 3 over 6 panes on the upper level. The rear elevation has been altered with modern windows. The front garden wall includes piers that support a simple ironwork gate. The interior was not available for inspection at the time of the resurvey.
