Description

Pencarreg is a rendered, one-and-a-half-storey farmhouse with an attic, dating to the 18th century. It has slate roofs with three gabled dormers. A rendered brick chimney is located on the left gable end, and a larger chimney is in the centre. The front features a single casement window to the left, French windows to the right, and a modern, gabled porch with a rubble plinth set off-centre to the left. At the rear is a linking range to a two-storey, cross-gabled wing, rendered to match the main house.

The original plan was based on a single room. A large hearth with chamfered stone jambs is found in the right-hand room, which is accessed by steps. A passage leads back from the entrance, which is within the modern porch.
