Description
This large warehouse, dating from the 19th century, is attached to Wye House on both sides. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and sits on a deep plinth made of slag blocks, with a slate roof that is continuous with Wye House on the left and hipped on the right. The building has three storeys and features a four-window range. The upper floor has 2-light unglazed openings positioned close to the eaves, while the first floor includes multipane sash windows set under segmental arches, with the window at the centre left being enlarged and the end left window blocked. The ground floor has five wide segmental-arched doorways, three of which are blocked.
Inside, the warehouse retains its original timber roof with tie beams, a ramp for rolling barrels, and wooden slat stairs, spanning two floors.
