Description

11 Baron Street is part of a terrace of four cottages built from rubble, featuring a slate roof with overhanging bracketed boarded eaves. The roof has two long and narrow corniced brick stacks, one serving the left pair of cottages and the other at the end of the right pair. The symmetrical two-storey frontage includes a two-window range of 12-pane sash windows, with horned sashes on Nos. 11 and 13. The windows and doors are set back and have stone voussoirs. Nos. 9 and 11 feature 20th-century gabled porches, while No. 13 has a 20th-century door. In contrast, No. 7 retains its original six-panel door and the stone kerb from its former forecourt railings, although Nos. 9 to 13 have 20th-century forecourt walls. The right-hand gable end is cement-rendered, and the rear of the building has a mix of rendered and painted brick, with a dog-legged roof for No. 7 and an artificial slate roof for No. 11's rear.
