Description
The Kymin Roundhouse is a 19th-century circular stone tower with a castellated design, consisting of two storeys, each containing a single room. The tower features six over six pane sash windows on the north-west and south-west sides, along with an additional window on the first floor facing south-east, which are believed to be aligned with specific objects in the view. It has a flat roof that once supported a telescope for the benefit of the Club members.
On the north-east side, there is a small two-storey residential extension with a hipped and catslide roof, which includes a tall narrow sash window and a standard window, along with an oeuil-de-boeuf below. There is also a single-storey extension at the angle of the building, featuring a 6-panel door with the top two panels glazed and an oeuil-de-boeuf on the side wall.
Inside the tower, the ground floor contains a kitchen, while the first floor has a dining room. The interior provides plain residential accommodation for the tower keeper, with a staircase located in the extension.
