Description
The stable block at Plas Hendy is a stable and coach-house range built from red brick, featuring a red tiled hipped roof. It has a central cross gable and a hipped dormer at the west end, with the ridge line continuous with the main ridge. The building is one storey with a loft. There is a broad opening in the center, which has an overhanging timber-framed gable and a loft door. A moulded bressumer and a cambered collar-beam are positioned above the door. Atop the ridge, there is a small domed cupola with octagonal open-arched sides, a leaded dome, and a weather-vane.
To the left, the coach-house features a brick chimney on the ridge and three large boarded doors, with timber posts between them. There is also a door with an overlight to the right. The stable on the right side includes a window, a door, and another window. Behind the stable block is a rubble stone tool-shed range. The rear gable of the main range has outside steps leading to the loft door.
Inside the stable, there are complete stable fittings, including two stalls, two loose-boxes, and cast-iron gate-posts.
