Description

The Ironwork Fountain Canopy is an octagonal, openwork iron structure made up of sections. It features a circular ribbed dome that is decorated with interlaced foliage trails and topped with a heroic classical figure. The canopy includes filigree spandrels supporting cusped arcades that have rope-mouldings, circular armorials, and guilloche bands. At the corners, there are griffin finials positioned over volute brackets, and the leaf shafts are adorned with polygonal foliage capitals and a foliage frieze above square bases.
