Description
13A New Castle Street is a mid-19th century two-storey corner house that features higher eaves than the adjoining terraced houses to the left. The front is finished in pebbledash and has three bays, with pilasters and a bargeboarded cross-gable at the center. There is a band course and a plinth. The first-floor windows are sash windows without glazing bars, while the ground-floor left has a three-light sash window with glazing bars and horns. The doorway is recessed and includes a rectangular traceried fanlight above a panelled door.
The gabled side elevation to the right has a flat-arched doorway flanked by pilasters and topped with a cornice on consoles. This doorway contains a four-panel door with a plain rectangular fanlight. The right side also features sash windows and an arched staircase window. The lower rear range has sash windows with glazing bars, including one triplet on the ground floor.
