Description
The tramroad causeway and bridge at Hirwaun Ironworks is a high single-track structure approximately 100 meters long, constructed of snecked rubble, with some sections rebuilt in coursed rubble. It spans the Afon Cynon with a single segmental arch featuring narrow dressed-stone voussoirs. On the right bank, it is supported by coursed rubble revetments. The flat deck serves as a footpath and retains some stone sleeper blocks, which were overgrown at the time of inspection.
