Description
The churchyard wall at St Cynog's church is constructed of rubble stone and stands approximately 1.5 meters high, enclosing the roughly oval churchyard. On the southeast side, there is a recessed lych gate made of coursed rock-faced stone, topped with a slate roof featuring scalloped and fretted barge boards. This lych gate has double wooden gates. On the northeast side, an iron kissing gate provides access, while further north, there are square rock-faced gate piers with domed caps leading to a single wide iron gate. The south side of the wall includes two infilled former gateways. Additionally, the wall serves as a revetment on the southwest side of the churchyard, where it is integrated with a circular pound that has a modern gate.
