Description

The Rectory is a late Georgian style, two-storey house featuring a south range with a north wing at right angles, creating a T-shaped plan. At the eastern angle of the south range and wing, there is a single-storey porch, while a two-storey service wing is located at the western angle. The walls are constructed of rubble stone with dressed quoins, and the hipped slate roof has boarded eaves that project outward. The south range has two stone ridge stacks, and the north wing has one stone stack.

The main façade is the three-bay south front, where the central bay is slightly advanced and includes a shallow bay window on the lower storey. The upper storey features margin-lit 12-pane hornless sash windows. In the lower storey, the left-hand window is blocked, while the right-hand and central windows have been replaced within their original openings. The main entrance is located in the L-shaped single-storey eastern porch, which has a flat roof. This porch contains a panelled door on the right side, with fixed windows to the left and in the right side wall. Above the porch, the wing has a four-pane horned sash window in the upper storey to the left.

To the left of the porch, the eastern end wall of the south range has a six-pane sash window on the lower storey and a margin-lit 12-pane hornless sash window in the upper storey. The end wall of the north wing features a replaced shallow bay window similar to that on the south side, situated below a margin-lit 12-pane hornless sash window in the upper storey. Set back to the right is the roughcast service wing, which has a replaced window on the left and a panelled door on the right. The western end wall of the service wing is set back from the end wall of the main range, which is also roughcast. This wall has a replaced window on the lower storey, a margin-lit 12-pane hornless sash window above, and small inserted windows to the right on each storey. The main range also includes a margin-lit 12-pane hornless sash window in the lower storey and a small casement window in the upper left.

The building has not been inspected.
