Description

The presbytery at the Catholic Church of St Joseph is a 2-storey building with a 'T'-plan, constructed from randomly coursed stone with some sandstone dressings and a slate roof. It features large pane sash-style replacement windows. The elevation facing the Monk Street garden court has two parts: on the left, there is an advanced gabled bay with a full-height canted bay window, and on the right, a three-window gabled range with an off-centre truncated engaged stack positioned between the two left-hand windows. To the right, there is a doorway with a 4-panelled door. The ground floor windows have cambered heads, while the upper windows are topped with shouldered lintels. The building has not been inspected.
