Description

The oil store and enclosure walls at Flatholm Lighthouse date from the 19th century. The rough rubble walls stand approximately 1.5 meters high and enclose the area around the lighthouse, as well as a trapezoidal area to the northwest, which was formerly a garden plot. The oil store is located alongside the wall to the north-northwest and follows a standard design by Trinity House. It features white-washed render, is single storey, and has coped gables with a moulded eaves cornice. The lower gable end includes a camber-headed doorway, with a small blocked window above it. There is also a similar window in the apex of the upper gable.
