Description
Llampha Court is a farmhouse with an integral service wing on the left and a large barn attached at right angles to the house. The building is constructed of rubble with dressed stone details and features a Welsh slate roof with ridge and end stacks on the house. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a four-window range, with 8/8 pane sliding sash windows that have stone sills and segmental arched heads supported by stone voussoirs. On the ground floor, there are larger 30-pane windows in three sections on the main house's right side, flanking a segmental arched doorway that includes a four-pane rectangular overlight and a boarded door. There is a smaller window and door on the service wing to the left, and a rear outshut. The linking range to the barn was formerly open and supported by cast iron piers. The barn has battered walls on the south side and features some segmental arched openings, including a nearly full-height former double doorway on the right. Stone steps lead up to the left gable end, which accesses a former granary or loft above a stable; all doors are boarded. Additional ranges are attached to the rear.
Inside, the service room on the left retains a flagged floor, an oven built into the side wall, and a separate built-in boiler nearby, with a boarded ceiling exposing the joists. The main house maintains its original central entry plan, although the stairs have been renewed. The room on the left features a voussoired fireplace with a wood settle attached to the wall, wide four-panelled doors, and grained door surrounds. The attached farm range has a roof supported by tie beams and struts. The barn has been divided into two storeys with three units, and the centre unit has also been divided lengthwise.
