Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory that has been converted into stables and a coach-house. It features walls made of limewashed stone rubble and a slate roof with overhanging eaves. On the north-east elevation, there are two original windows that consist of 2-light casements with moulded stone mullions, single transoms, trefoiled lights, spandrels, rectangular dripmoulds, and iron saddlebars and stanchions. Other openings date from the early 19th century, including a cambered-arched doorway situated between the windows and loft openings, as well as a cambered-arched former carriage entrance to the left. At the left gable end, there is a blocked doorway and an attached cross wing that shows various masonry alterations on the inside.
The interior retains a few features that have been blocked or altered. The left end wall has a fireplace with a lintel that does not correspond to the current floor level.
