Description

The cross at the Church of St Nicholas is a 15th-century base that was restored in 1894, with a new cross added. The base is octagonal and is set on a stepped platform. The 19th-century cross features a tapering octagonal shaft and head, adorned with fleur-de-lys reliefs. It also has a plate with the inscription: "To the glory of God and in loving memory of Frederick and Elizabeth Romilly this ancient cross is restored by their surviving sons and daughters 1894."
