Description
St Anne's Well is a holy well made of limestone rubble, likely dating back to the medieval period and said to be associated with St Anne. There is a series of stone steps leading down to the water on the north side. On the south side, at the base of the well, there is a stone tablet measuring approximately 0.3 meters by 0.5 meters, featuring a three-quarter length carved relief of a woman, with her breasts removed, from which the water originally flowed. The well was noted to be in poor condition during an inspection in June 1995.
