Description
Llansannor House is a two-storey villa built in the late Regency style, constructed from local rubblestone with brick framed openings, although it is typically rendered and painted overall. The roof is made of Welsh slate. The building features a double depth plan with a range at the rear and two projecting wings that create a four-bay south front.
The ground floor is surrounded on three sides by a timber verandah supported by square posts. The west side of the verandah is glazed, while the east side includes a pedimented entrance with clustered piers. The south front has a six-bay verandah with four French casements behind and four more above. The gables of the wings are designed with broken pediments, featuring a section of cornice supported by shaped timber brackets in between.
On the east front, there is a French casement and the main door below, along with another French casement and a six-over-six pane sash above in the gable of the rear range, which also has a cornice on brackets and an open pediment. The west front has two windows, with a third window located in the rear range, which extends one bay further west. All chimneys are positioned on the rear range. The interior details were not available at the time of the resurvey.
