Description
The Chapel of St Roque is a small, Tudor-Gothic style chapel that is now in ruins and lacks a roof. Its rubble stone walls are partially covered by vegetation. On the south wall, there is a doorway with a Tudor arch that was renewed in the 19th century, along with a single window to its right featuring a segmental rere-arch. The west wall includes a gabled bellcote with a bell opening topped by a cusped head. The east window is a two-light design, with a renewed mullion and remnants of original cinquefoil heads. To the right of this window is a small former piscina.
Inside the chapel, there are two 11th-century inscribed stones, which are designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument (GM 026).
