Description
Cefn Coed Colliery Pump House is a single-storey building that is partially sunk into the ground. It has gabled ends at both the front and back, and features five metal-framed windows along its south side. Each gable end includes double doors and a circular opening. The building is constructed of brick with concrete lintels, similar to other original colliery buildings on the site, and has an asbestos roof.
Inside, there are two small steam-driven pumps made by Weir, which were installed around 1930 but are believed to have been repurposed from a First World War battleship. The eastern end of the building is utilized as a storage area.
