Description
The Aberdulais Basin is an irregularly shaped, stone-lined basin measuring approximately 100 meters by 20 meters. At the time of inspection in October 1999, it was partly filled with reeds and rushes. The northeast end of the basin connects to the Neath Canal, located beneath Pont Gam, while the southwest end, which has been infilled, used to connect with the Aberdulais Aqueduct. Additionally, there is a concrete slipway on the southeast side that originally linked to a dry dock, which is now also infilled.
