Description
The Kings Arms Public House is an L-plan building dating from the 19th century. It has three storeys and features a three-window entrance front along with a long side elevation and a return gabled range at the rear. The exterior is finished in stucco and is adorned with giant Tuscan pilasters on the upper floors, a band course with an end pilaster at the ground floor, and applied half-timber decoration. The roof is slate, with a brick stack on the right side and boarded eaves, as well as a second wide stack at the rear.
The side elevation retains some original small-pane sash windows above a fine ground floor, which includes keyblocked windows and paired timber doorcases. These doorcases are complemented by fluted pilasters, a panelled entablature, and segmental pediments.
