Description

The first arch over the South Wales Railway at Peniel Green is one of four broad stone arches made of rubble stone, featuring cut stone voussoirs that form segmental arches. Each arch is about 12 meters wide and approximately 20 to 25 meters long. The arches are topped with copper slag and have inner retaining walls on each side to hold back earth.
