Description

Twr Mihangel, formerly known as Treturret, is a two-storey, three-bay cottage built from roughly squared and coursed red sandstone rubble, topped with stone tile roofs, although the roof of the tower is likely lead. The central entrance is located in the lobby position against the stack, featuring a gabled porch that leads to a heavy studded plank door set in a chamfered frame. This door is flanked by modern casement windows, with three 4 + 4 casements located above. A central red brick stack is present, positioned at the left end of the ridge.

To the left, there is a single-bay extension from the 19th century or later, which includes a modern diamond lattice casement window on the upper floor and a red brick gable stack. To the right, the house extends further to connect with an octagonal two-storey look-out tower. This tower features 2-light small paned casement windows with drip moulds on every other face, a castellated parapet, and a tall castellated chimney. The garden elevation shows that the tower is linked to the house by a castellated wall, although other features are not visible. The interior was not available for resurvey in April 1997.
