Description
The Bridgend Inn is a long, two-storey building featuring a five-window roughcast front, slate roofs, boarded eaves, and brick chimney stacks. It has sash windows with glazing bars, along with some modern windows. The ground floor windows have cambered heads, and there is a modern entrance sheltered by a bracketed hood. The west end of the building is made of whitewashed rubble and has brick surrounds to the sash windows, along with a further modern door. The roof has cat slides at the rear.
At the back, there is a later 19th-century parallel range, also whitewashed rubble, which includes sash windows and a cross gable to the left. The building has a yard that is situated below the roadway.
Inside, the ground floor retains much of the earlier structure, featuring exposed beams.
