Description
Penuel Chapel is a rectangular building that has a domestic scale and proportions. It is constructed of stone rubble, painted on the sides and rendered at the front, featuring prominent rockfaced painted dressings. The roof is made of Welsh slate and includes a large ridge ventilator and overhanging eaves with decorative bargeboards.
The main front has tall, two-storey round-arched sash windows with multipane glazing, along with raised quoins and voussoirs. Between the windows is a datestone, and at the ground floor, there is a central round-arched doorway with a semi-circular overlight and panelled double doors. Smaller, similar windows are located on the sides and rear of the chapel.
The chapel is situated within a small enclosure that has rubble walls, brick piers, iron railings, and gates.
