Description

This Gothic style single-storey church hall features an integral lean-to on the left and is constructed from coursed rubble sandstone with honey-coloured limestone dressings. The roof is tiled and half-hipped to the right, with a tall stone stack located at the back. The front of the building has three windows, including 3-light mullioned windows with cusped heads on the left and center, and a lower bow window on the right, which has lancets arranged in groups of two, three, and two, along with a continuous sill band. The doorway on the far left of the lean-to has a 2-centred head with continuous moulding, and the door features decorative studs and strap hinges similar to those found on the church. At the rear, there are three 3-light windows that match those at the front, and the side wall of the lean-to has two smaller 2-light windows that are similar in style.

Inside the lean-to, there is an entrance vestibule that leads to the main hall through a doorway with a 2-centred arch and continuous moulding. The interior is plastered and includes a continuous sill band, as well as a blocked fireplace in the rear wall that has a segmental arch and moulded shafts. The roof features arched braces with two tiers of wind braces and boarding behind, and above the collars, the principals and diagonal struts are cusped.
