Description

Bee boles are rectangular niches set into a rubble retaining wall at Upper House Farm. The wall is subdivided by upright stone slabs into three niches, each approximately 30 centimeters square, with continuous dripstones above. Each niche would have provided protective housing for a straw bee-skep.
