Description
The cartshed at Upper House Farm is a 17th-century structure built from coursed grey pennant rubble masonry. It features a gently pitched roof made of corrugated sheet metal, which was originally covered with stone tiles. The building has two cart bays, with timber lintels supported in the center by a circular tapering rubble column. There is a loft opening on the right side. The rear elevation is blind, but a straight joint on the left indicates that it has been added to the existing Malt House. Inside, there is a four strut tie beam truss constructed from re-used 17th-century timbers.
