Description

Bridge No. 79 is an accommodation and access bridge over the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. It features a semi-elliptical arch made of voussoirs and is constructed from squared, faced, and coursed local sandstone. The bridge has a parapet with slab coping and slightly curving abutments. The bridge number is located on the south face of the arch. A towpath runs beneath the bridge arch on the east side, and there is a 'No locomotives' sign from the London and North Western Railway at the east end of the bridge.
