Description
Tre-Elidyr is a single storey and attic L-shaped plan cottage built in the early 20th century, featuring a small service wing to the left. Constructed from roughly squared, rock-faced local red sandstone rubble, it has natural slate roofs on the house and stone slate on the extension. The design reflects a plain Arts-and-Crafts style.
The main elevation faces the service road around the Memorial Green and is located at the inside angle of the L. There are short wings on either side, with a 2-light casement window on the left and the entrance door along with a second window on the right. Attached to the left is a small weatherboarded end hipped service wing, which contains a WC and a coal house. The right gable features a large external stack and a 2-light casement window in the attic floor. The cottage has a steep mansard roof with gambrel ends. The rear elevation has not been seen, and the interior was not accessible during the resurvey.
